Michaelene Dawson-Globus is a deeply creative and highly sought-after trauma therapist whose work blends clinical expertise with imagination, curiosity, and play. She believes that healing doesn’t always begin with words; it often begins with expression, exploration, and the freedom to experience ourselves in new ways.

Michaelene is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and holds two master’s degrees: one in Social Work and another in Creative Studies from Buffalo State. This rare combination shapes her distinctive approach to therapy, one that integrates evidence-based trauma treatment with creative, experiential methods that help clients access parts of themselves that traditional talk therapy may not reach.

A certified EMDR therapist, Michaelene specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma. Her work is grounded in safety, attunement, and a deep respect for each person’s inner world. She incorporates play therapy, sandtray therapy, and expressive techniques to help clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of self.

Michaelene is also a national speaker and educator, providing trauma-informed trainings and lectures across the country. She has been a guest lecturer at institutions including NYU and Hunter College, where she shares her innovative approach to integrating creativity into clinical practice. She is the co-author of the children’s book My Sandwich Is a Spaceship, a reflection of her belief that imagination is not just a childhood experience, but a powerful pathway to healing at any age.

Her work invites clients into a different kind of therapeutic space, one where curiosity replaces judgment, creativity opens new doors, and even the most difficult experiences can be approached with gentleness and possibility.

At Move Me Brightly, Michaelene brings a rare and powerful presence to her work, helping clients of all ages rediscover their voice, their story, and their capacity for growth and transformation.

Praise be to our Mighty God! My Name is Amanda  Jackson. I have been working in the mental health field for over 14 years. We all experience times of loss, stress, depression, and trauma that can be overwhelming, which at times causes us to question our faith. My goal is to assist you through your healing journey by utilizing Christ-based and empowerment therapy techniques, which are utilized to strengthen your faith and provide you with the necessary tools needed to enhance your relationship with God and emotional health.

I specialize in clinical mental health wellness with a focus on children and families from diverse populations and various demographics. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, I have diverse experience with many mental health concerns, ranging from behavioral issues to anxiety. I provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, children and families,  and adolescents in the justice system. I also advocate for social welfare programming and coordinate client care through collaboration with other service providers and agencies.

When you are feeling hurt and broken, know that you are not alone; God is with you. He shines his light through those broken pieces to shine his glory. Through the power of prayer and building your inner strength, healing can begin.

Tyana is a compassionate clinician who brings a deeply relational and strengths-based approach to her work with children, teens, and families. With extensive experience in foster care and community-based services, she has spent years supporting young people in navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and family dynamics.

Tyana believes that one of the most powerful ways to support children and adolescents is by helping them better understand and express their emotional world. She focuses on strengthening emotional intelligence as a bridge between young people and the adults in their lives, supporting improved communication, emotional regulation, and reductions in anxiety and mood-related challenges. Her work is grounded in connection, helping clients feel seen, understood, and empowered in their growth.

In her work with adults, Tyana integrates evidence-based practices with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and relational approaches. She creates a supportive space where clients can explore patterns in relationships, deepen emotional awareness, and move toward more secure and meaningful connections.

Tyana is passionate about meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they make sense of their experiences, build insight, and move toward lasting change.

Jennifer (Jenna) LaFratta, LMSW

Jenna believes that every person is the expert on their own life. She views therapy as a collaborative process where clients are supported, encouraged, and empowered to better understand themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Rather than telling clients what they should do, Jennifer works alongside them to help identify strengths, build practical skills, and foster confidence in navigating life's challenges.

Jenna earned both her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services and her Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo, graduating with honors. Throughout her career, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, veterans, and families across a variety of clinical and community settings. Her experience includes outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, school social work, crisis intervention, victim advocacy, and child welfare. Most recently, she has worked with the Children's Legal Center, supporting children and families involved in foster care, abuse, neglect, and family court while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advocate for the well-being of children.

Jenna's therapeutic approach is grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while thoughtfully integrating psychodynamic principles to help clients understand how past experiences and relationships continue to shape present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She also enjoys incorporating creative interventions, including art, when they align with a client's interests and therapeutic goals, recognizing that healing often occurs through experiences that extend beyond words alone.

Jenna is particularly passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and safe to explore their experiences. She approaches each individual through a trauma-informed and strengths-based lens, recognizing that every person's story is unique and deserving of compassion. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, healthier patterns of thinking and relating, and the confidence to continue growing long after therapy has ended.

Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, Jenna is committed to meeting clients where they are and helping them move toward a life that reflects their values, resilience, and potential.
